Our School, the 10th primary school of Ptolemaida

Our school is not so big and it has got six classrooms and one teachers' room. It has got a gym and a computer lab. In the school yard there is a basketball court and a small football field. There are trees and a canteen.Our school shares the building with the 4th primary school of Ptolemaida. We love our school!

Ptolemaida, Our Town

Ptolemaida belongs to the prefecture of Kozani in West Macedonia, in Greece. What characterizes our town are its electric plants. The electric plants pollute the environment. Ptolemaida took its name from Ptolemeus, one of Alexander’s the Great general. The oldest building in Ptolemaida is the aquaduct. This building gives us water. In the centre of Ptolemaida there is a big square where we go for a walk. Around the central square there are a lot of shops. Each year we celebrate the liberation of Ptolemaida from the Turks on October 15th. We like Ptolemaida because it has a lot of parks and we can play with our friends.

My town is Ptolemaida. Ptolemaida is famous for its electric plants. It is in Macedonia. Its name comes from Ptolemeos, one of the generals of Great Alexander. Ptolemaida has got a library, lots of parks, a sports centre and a swimming pool, but it hasn’t got a cinema.

OUR CLASSROOM

These are our classrooms, they are equals, they are not very big, in both classes there are eight windows, one door that is beige and orange, the walls are light yellow, orange and blue, there two computers in each classroom with internet conection, ther are popsters on the wall for each subject, we put our jobs on them. In each classroom there are 22 students. In this case the teacher was showing us the blog of our etwinnig project.

Our school

Our school is big, new and fantastic. It's called Virgen de Navahonda, It has got lots of pupils and it has got 18 classes, six for pre-school and 12 for primary. The school has got a library, it’s beautiful but it’s small. The playground is very big and it’s got a park. we’ve also got a computer room, a music room that is the biggest room in the school, and a gym, there is also a big canteen where some of us have lunch.
The buildings are blue, green, pink and yellow. At school we study different subjects: maths, language, English, science. P.E. Music. We have got a choir and a group of theatre…… Our school is fantastic. Here are some photos of our school
